If you are a rich man, you should know about ...
1. Adorning your pet with Jewellery might be attractive but hazardous unless you keep in mind that it is only and animal and his safety lies in your hands.
2. While buying Jewellery keep your dog in mind. Not all pets can wear Jewellery. Keep its attributes and physical appearance, color, coat and size in mind.
3. Long haired pets need the hair to be trimmed around the neck in order to let the chain/necklace be visible. Chunky or broad Jewellery should also work for such pets.
4. The necklace should not have lots of links with gaps as the hair can get entangled in it.
5. Jewellery should be bought depending on their use like birthday gift or party wear or group wear or show or walk in the park wear.
6. Pay attention to the material used. Metals like steel or silver or 14K gold needs to be checked for their purity.
7. Law requires metal to be marked by the maker and the quality. Sterling silver will be marked 925 i.e. 92.5% which is purity of sterling silver and is found near the clasp.
8. If you are going for something fancy like Rhinestones or Austrian Crystals make sure that the gems are properly attached. They should not fall out easily.
9. Get product specifications and related Jewellery information. Check metal length, weight, type of clasp, durability, strength of chains, number of stones, packaging and shipping information.
10. Remember all Jewellery should not be worn for a long time. Supervise and be in attendance when your pet is wearing Jewellery. Do not leave him alone.
